whoa! I just started typing 199.... Something, I think I am tired, or well, we had a wine tasting at work and I think I am a bit sleepy from that. I will get to that in a moment.
Tuesday March 28
Heather, Arianna and I went to a Wine Meetup which was meeting at Portalis in Ballard. I think 7 of us total showed up. It was fun. I like Portalis, cool place. Their tastings are $2.75 and found a tempranillo that was to die for from Spain from a winery called La Rioja Alta 
. I got lucky that evening and won the "door prize" which the even leader generously donated, a bottle of wine! Yeah for me! After we were done tasting we went to the Matador for some nibbles. What a nice way to spend a Tuesday evening!
Week of March 27th at BD&A
This week and next we have "Spring Fling". This is my first one but what it is all of BD&A breaks up into groups and puts on different fundraisers this week to raise money for the Marsha Rivkin Center for Ovarian Cancer Research. So today the Bank of America team and the Microsoft team put on a wine tasting. For $10 you can try all the wine you want. I think there were about 20+ wines. I tried 5 since I was driving.
My group, Marketing, is teaming up with Creative Services and New Biz Development and we are putting on a mini putt putt golf game next week in building C. We, Marketing, are responsible for 2 holes. We are doing a Tiki hole and the BD&A-hole, get it? LOL I wanted to mimic a uterus with each ovary being a hole, boy did we have a good laugh with that one, but we decided against it unfortunately. I will definitely take pictures next week.
The company also puts on a bowling night at at Kenmore Lanes and a talent show at a bar to raise money. Last year, BD&A raised $50,000!
Anyhoo, that is what is going on work right now.
This Saturday I am going to go to the annual Passport to Woodinville wine event! This is my first time and I can not wait!
